Meet Brandt (Beez)!
Kia ora! I'm Brandt — better known as Beez. Born and bred in Auckland, I've been on the tools for 9 years now, with the last 3-4 of those spent passing on what I know as a barbering teacher.
I got into barbering at 17. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, gave it a crack, and fell in love with it. Nine years later, it's still the same energy — the craft, the people, and the buzz of seeing someone leave the chair feeling like a new person.
Outside the shop, Beez is on the basketball court or in the gym working boxing and kickboxing — sport keeps him sharp and grounded. Bucket list trip? Courtside in New York to watch the Knicks. And if he could pick four people in the world to share a dinner with, it'd be Jesus, Miyamoto Musashi, his Koro and Kobe Bryant — wisdom, mastery, whakapapa and mamba mentality all at one...

How long have you been cutting hair for?
9 years on the tools, with the last 3-4 of those spent teaching barbering as well. Cutting hair is still the same buzz as day one.
What got you into barbering?
I was 17 and unsure of what I wanted to do. Gave barbering a try and fell in love with it. Haven't looked back since.
What sport or hobbies are you into?
Big into basketball, and I spend a lot of time on boxing and kickboxing. Sport keeps me sharp inside and outside the shop.
Dream holiday destination?
New York to watch the Knicks play live. That's the bucket list trip right there.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would you pick?
